McCoury has been headlining a bluegrass festival that I go to in Dallas for several years now. It’s crazy that he’s in his eighties and still going strong.

I remembered this thread when this song came up as a FB memory.

Well we come from farms
And the city streets
And a hundred foreign lands
And we spilled our blood
In the battle’s heat
Now we’re all Americans
- Steve Earle

Maybe there’s a message in there.

The entire album, The Mountain, was recorded with the Del McCoury Band

worth mentioning,

Jason Carter (The fiddle player in the vid I linked) has left the band to form his own group,

surely he will do well,

the new fiddle player is pretty damn good, and at the show I saw, Ronnie's son was playing, so 3 generations on stage,
