Someone mentioned this show here or elsewhere and I remembered I had the DVDs of the series.
Pulled them out and began watching them once again.
What a great show. David E, Kelley. Spader is over the top and Shatner as "Denny Crane" may have found his greatest role.
Why can't we have television shows like this once again?

Billions is kinda like that. Sassy characters in a corporate environment.

For the longest time, when my dad and I would have cigars and bourbon he'd refer to it as our "Boston Legal" time.
Very good memories.

Great show with fantastic characters.
Don't count me out till you see the box go in the hole!
I watched it. But I preferred the series from which Boston Legal was spun.
But I can understand how they had to kill that show, the main character was raped several times over the course of the series. And it was just about a small law firm.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." My favorite BL scene. Thanks for posting and saving me the effort of finding it.

I really liked this show, one of the very few network shows I've watched in years.
Spader and Shatner were too funny!!

One of my favorite episodes was not funny at all, but Spader's defense of the LA physician left behind to care for Katrina victims. He was quite eloquent there.

that was really good but my favorite was where he was dressed up in the courtroom
I loved the show when it was on, even if it was just a mouthpiece for whatever the lib hot topic of the day was.
I have been afraid to revisit it in fear everything would be dated due to it being soooooo topical.

They have started showing Boston Legal reruns on the Escape channel and since I never watched the show when it was originally on I started watching these reruns. I found that I'm really enjoying this show. This may change as the episodes progress, but I particularily enjoy Spader and Shatner in these roles, and Monica Potter...

I checked out the first episode and can see how it could grow on me. Thanks for the heads up.
Alan had an assistant that was awesome, I am looking for the name of the actress who played the role, he would rate her sweaters from one to ten on a daily basis,
she went too Shirley Shmit to get him to stop
