StarTravelerGreat player and good comedian, but his end was unexpected and terrible, putting a real scare into people out in the country around Nashville about personal security (keeping doors and windows locked, in particular) and having some sort of personal protection against intruders. I was almost 11 but remember it and those feelings well. The Marcia Trimble case in town a little over a year later in combination with this left many in the area questioning whether anywhere was “safe” in Middle Tennessee.
