I’m sorry to report that Lari White has died at 52 from peritoneal cancer. She was a successful singer/songwriter in Country Music in the mid-90s. She also had a few acting roles—most will remember her for a small part at the end of the Tom Hank’s movie, Castaway.
For the last year or more she had been a teacher in Country Vocals on the Artistworks website.
I liked her music when she was recording. Way too young. Rest In Peace

I haven't heard her name for a long time. Good singer.

The key to enforcement is to punish the violator, not an inanimate object. The punishment of inanimate objects for the commission of a crime or carelessness is an affront to stupidity.

I was crushed when I heard the news yesterday. She was one of my favorites and I had the opportunity to meet her a few times. A truly sweet lady, incredible voice and a talented songwriter. I did know she had been taken ill... perotineal cancer is extremely rare and very aggressive.
I have my own style of humor. I call it Snarkasm.

That’s the first video I watched too, z6z. The Tennessean says that her first gig after moving to Nashville from Florida was a backup singer with Rodney Crowell. Crowell went on to produce her first album.
