It is amazing footage for Beatles fans. I remember going to the late show when I was young to see the original "Let It Be" movie. It took me years but I finally found the DVD of "Let It Be" and keep it in my safe. This message has been edited. Last edited by: shoevb, December 16, 2021 02:56 PM

The Beatles did “Some Kind of Monster” (Metallica) before Metallica did.
Watching George nervously talk to John about wanting to do a solo album and still be a Beatle causes me to double-down on this belief.

Disney decision makers have proved over and over again in recent years that they are absolute clueless morons.
Those Disney preferences for vanilla work fine for cartoon movies, but if they are going to be involved in projects involving real people, they are ridiculous.
So when they apply those Disney standards to other films, they do show how dumb they can be.
I like the Beatles, but I am not sure I need 8 hours.

If the 8 hours seems too much, then I highly recommend episode 3. You’ll get the idea and can decide if you want to play around with the other 2 from there.
ETA - it is incredible to me that the police were called due to noise complaints during the roof top concerts.

For thirty five years I have said on many occasions that I would watch or listen too all things Beatles.
Now, I remember what they used to say about politics and sausage making.
And another saying about meeting your heros.
As it stands now they are / were better than average human musicians.
Whom , after combining their talents became a super human unstoppable band with exceptional sense of world timing.
I don't want change that by learning real facts.

Finally set aside enough time to watch this over the weekend. I'm not a huge Beatles fan, just because they were a bit before my time not any more complicated reasons. Know a lot of their tunes of course, and some of theirs that I didn't even realize were.
This series is a heavy lift at 8-9 hours, but for us was enjoyable. I see some reviews suggesting it should be cut down more, others that want the whole 60 hours! The interplay of them all is interesting, but what was really fascinating was the writing that was going on. Sometimes with great focus and effort, sometimes just Paul sitting down waiting for everyone to show up.
Lennon did seem the least mature of the bunch, but they were all basically kids still. I just want to be a chill as Ringo was the entire time!
