TMatsNuremburg, the 2025 Movie
My wife and I watched it tonight. This is the production with Russell Crowe as Hermann Göering. Much different than I expected. Very little focus on the courtroom drama. Most of the movie revolved around the dynamic between Crowe’s Göering and an Army psychiatrist played by Rami Malek. I thought it was a 4-star movie, not quite worthy of 5, but definitely both entertaining and instructional in bringing to light the many back stories surrounding the Nuremburg trial.

BigSwedeI will check it out. The ratings I have seen say it's trash

PHPaulI rented it last night myself, and thought it was excellent. Crowe was outstanding as Göering.
The ending was...sad.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

MRBTXI agree with TMats' assessment of the movie. Watched it with the wife. She's not a history buff, had no idea the Nuremberg trials even happened. 4 of 5 stars is fair.

220-9erI've watched the 8 minute preview version on youtube and it seemed decent.
I'll watch it when it's free to me on one of the movie channels.

joel9507Watched in the theater when it came out.
Not an edge-of-your-seat kind of movie but good. History buff here, so knew where things were going to wind up.
That said, I was not aware of the psychiatric work being done prior to the trials, so this was new to me and quite interesting.

urbanwarrior238I read the book that outlined the Psychiatrist and Hermann. They brought the Psychiatrists in to evaluate all the defendants and the book really delved between the Dr and Hermann.

That’s fair. Just curious though, did you watch
this movie, because they’re very different.

I hope it is accurate and not some contrived psychobabble on the part of the psychiatrist. Goering was a narcisstic personality. In addition to that he was quite the fighter ace in World War One. He also killed himself because he could not face the consequences of his actions. His stolen art collection were ridiculosly arrayed along a long hallway.
