Sky was on the fence with whether he has enough super license points to qualify. IIRC it comes down to how the championship wraps up & where he finishes.
While an American in an American team [with an Italian engine] would be great, I'm a Bottas fan, so it'd be a bummer for me.
Bottas fan as well. Ferarri should dump Chuck and bring in Bottas. Then you have the dream team back together. LH and VB were great together.
I'll take 'things that'll never happen for $500, Alex'
I joked about that a lot when VB was at Sauber/Alfa, that he was just waiting/prepping for the Ferrari seat.
I think it'd be more likely that Bearman gets the SF seat ahead of anyone else on the grid.

Georgeair Cadillac F1 team owner evaluating $3 billion sale after sudden U-turnI think like others, I'll agree that his wouldn't be happening if backed by Andrettis instead of a financially strained fraud. Poor choices....

220-9erThe Andretti's aren't rich by F1 standards.
Apparently the owner isn't either. Seems to be developing as another guy operating on OPM and it may have caught up to him.
I would have thought GM/Cadillac would have done a bit deeper dive into him before becoming involved.
Hopefully there will be some folks waiting to pick up the pieces.

I heard they have less than $1 billion in the team. Triple value for a team that is absolute crap? Who in their right mind would pay that much, especially considering how much would have to be put in on top of that to actually make them competitive.

xd45manCadillac and all American car makers are ruled by the bean counters. There was a documentary about Ford SVT and an engineer said we can make a great upgrade for 1 penny per car on the SVT and the Mustang. The bean counter said, our cost would be huge if spread over a million cars. Racing cannot thrive on this mindset. If you reduce lap time, the penny gets spent.

Reminds me of something I read about how Enzo Ferrari wasn't a rich man, everything he made was put back into the [race] company.

.38supersigHearing that Rafa Camara (50) will be in the Haas for São Paulo and possibly 2027.

DanHCamara is already signed for 2027 and will race at Brazil. The question is the races that clash with F2 where he's racing for a championship.

The same people Andretti had as backers are the same people running the F1 program, and the Andretti Global IndyCar team has been doing far better without Michael in charge of the program.
