Missed that, thanks.

Another day of testing done and McLaren and Red Bull look like they're the top teams again. Mercedes had reliability issues, and I think Aston Martin is going to be a mess.

I'm halfway through day 2's last hour.
Audi looking good on times, Cadillac at the bottom.
Haas surprising on both days, so far.

Livery-wise. RB, Haas & Cadillac look too similar at a quick look.
Hoping Cadillac adds some color before Australia.

Ok, I will ask for help. I have watched F1 on Hulu for the last few years. Now that it is with Apple TV, am I ok to sign up for Apple TV and not F1 TV? If you were me, what would you do. Also I have a Samsung S95B tv so I cannot download apps anymore. Brilliant Samsung!I do have the Apple tv app. Thanks in advance everyone!

As of right now, you have to watch via F1TV, but do not need to pay for it in addition.
You sign up for Apple TV, open F1TV & it will prompt to link to Apple TV.
It seems unclear [at least to me] at the moment if F1 will available directly in AppleTV for the actual races, or if it will continue to run through F1TV.

When you sign up for Apple TV, you also get F1 TV Premium. I never had F1 TV, but have Apple TV, and I was able to load the F1 TV app and sync it with my Apple TV ID, and now I can watch F1 on either. Right now, Apple TV is only showing the daily highlight show, but F1 TV shows the last hour of testing every day, and an hour long daily wrap up show.

I really appreciate the info. I can use the browser on the samsung tv but as I said, I cannot download any apps due to an update that eliminated that optio.I will sign up for Apple Tv and then link the log in but will use apple tv for the most part Sky Sports was great to watch F1 on and enjoy the commentary. Thanks very much guys!

Croft and Kravitz are doing testing commentary currently & the F1TV crew is doing the end of day review

They're swapping announcers as Day 1 and Day 3 were Alex Jacques and Alex Brundle while on Day 2 it was Croft and Anthony Davidson. Ted Kravitz is the only pit lane reporter for the week.

I'll take the F1TV folks anytime. They also have a bit of variety and their British commentators can actually call a race as opposed to Sky Sports that all but broadcast their stiffies whenever Lewis Hamilton does anything.

The only person F1TV has on that I can't stand is Davide Valsecchi. He's loud, annoying, and speaks English only a little better than Paul di Resta.

Fair, though they've been a little less Hamfest with his lackluster Ferrari.
I do like then they have Jensen on there, he's got a natural commentary flow to him. Brundle, hit & miss, but mostly good, IMO.

I do hope Apple makes it easier to favorite or save the F1 content than scrolling around to find it.

I haven't poked around much in AppleTV yet, but noticed an MLS section. Maybe there will be an F1 when Australia comes up.

Right now I keep getting a redirect to F1TV. We'll know the first week of March when supposedly the merge will be completed.

TBH, I’m going to probably be using the F1 TV app for access now instead of going through the Apple TV app. I really don’t see any advantage going through Apple.

The only advantage of a direct link via AppleTV, for me, is not having to run through my Roku.
AppleTV has a direct app on my TV & F1TV doesn't.

I had the same situation on my older Samsung, but I found that the Apple TV app on the TV wasn’t the same as the one on my iPad. I don’t see anything other than the F1 movie on the TV app, and don’t have the sports icon in the menu, only MLS. On the iPad, I have a sports icon in addition to MLS, and that’s where the F1 content is. I think that the Samsung app is outdated, but the latest version I can get is from mid-2025. My TV won’t support airplay, so I can’t simply stream from my iPad either. I ended up getting an Apple TV 4K box, and run it off that.

My phone [Samsung S23] app only has AppleTV and MLS, no sports section
