Bit of a bore after the first stop, but seeing Piastri dust Hamilton on the dirty side like he was passing on the highway was a highlight. Speaking of Lewis, Kimi Antonelli now has more points than Hamilton. McLaren also has a 88 point lead over Mercedes, and Norris recovering for a 4th keeps him 2 points ahead of Max.
Next up is the ghetto seaside of Miami stadium. Maybe we'll get lucky and Formula E takes this date, but we're never that lucky.

bcereussMax was not a happy camper. No leg to stand on-Oscar got the jump on him.

That was the pass of the race.
Given that and how he held his ground into the first turn at the start should have made him Driver of the Day

He expected Oscar to give way into the first turn...that's why he was claiming that he was "forced off track"
I guess he doesn't like it when other drivers do what he usually does to other drivers.
The Red Bull was going much better in the cooler temps at night than they were doing during the day

ChuckFinley^Agreed
This race should bring Lando some confidence, one would hope, though the team dynamic seems to continue to shift.

On the other hand, the Williams showed what teamwork should look like when Sainz slowed down to allow Albon to have DRS to stay ahead of the Racing Bull...first double points finish for Williams in a long while...moves them back up to 5th in the Constructors Championship

ChuckFinleyAnd what was Stroll's F1 record he set? 75 times knocked out in Q1?

But it was funny to see that it took Lando a couple of laps to pass Hamilton because he couldn’t quite figure out that you needed to wait until after the DRS detection line to make the pass, otherwise the guy you just passed gets DRS and passes you right back.

P250UA5More on-track action, if not overtakes, than i expected from this one.
Lando put on a good recovery after his Q3 incident. Another couple laps & I think he'd have had Leclerc.
Lap 1, T1, I'm no Max fan but it looked borderline racing incident.
Also surprised Yuki was out, didn't hear any explanation, but he was able to continue on to the pits.

Well, they did only give him the 5sec penalty instead of the usual 10sec...because it was the first turn on the first lap

I thought I heard he had a broken rear wing

And as above, he lost 2 laps to how he tried to pass Lewis.

220-9erAnd the save of the day was Alonso showing how it is done when he didn't crash when squeezed against the guardrail.
The cars not competitive right now but he never gives up, even at the back. How he didn't get in a multi-car crash was amazing.

That was a bit funny.
Very clever the way Lewis "forced" him to pass before the detection zone the second time he tried to pass

The first one was a bit close, Lando had to make a dive to not run up the back of the Ferrari.
The cat & mouse of the last/first DRS zones, I could do without.
Sure it adds some drive cunning into it to make sure you're still behind going through the last turn, but ends up being just a back & forth if you are 'forced' to pass before the last detection line.

220-9erThey just released a simulation video of a new street track being built in Spain.
The track looks way too similar to the Saudi track they just raced on last week and a few others.
Sure would be nice if they would copy something like Spa or almost any other real (traditional) course instead of all these recent additions.

P250UA5Just a guess.
Probably a lot cheaper to toss together a street circuit [pretty much just need a pit complex] than the acreage & effort to construct a purpose built, grand 1, track.
COTA's subsistence issues are some evidence of that.
Also, saw that there is a purpose built Saudi track in the works, to replace Jeddah.
Saw an article this week about how much deterioration of the Vietnam circuit has progressed. 'Being taken back over by nature' was the tl;dr version.
