If that doesn't tear your guts out, you are dead. Special meaning for me, Great Grandad came over during the famine, fought for the North in the Civil War, fortunately survived and her I am today!

If you're goin' through hell, keep on going.
Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it.
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there.

I was listening to an old playlist and this one came on. I'm from a little town in Tennessee. The first time I really left the country I was 26 years old and on my way to do a 1.5 month travel study in Braunschweig, Germany. I was so anxious about leaving, but loved every minute of it. Since then I've had the travel bug. My goal is to hit the mainland of every continent.

This song gets me more amped than any other song I’ve ever encountered. And yes there is a reason I posted both songs together. Wink

“Something kinda sad about
The way that things have come to be
Desensitized to everything
What became of subtlety?
How can it mean anything to me
If I really don't feel anything at all?“

I remember singing this in church as a boy.

"He speaks, and the sound of His voice is so sweet the birds hush their singing.
And the melody that He gave to me within my heart is ringing."
It was my dad's favorite Hymn. I am moved to tears.
