Wrath of Khan is just about a perfect movie. You don't have to be a Star Trek fan, or into scifi even, to enjoy it. Everything you need to know is presented to you, and in a way that feels natural. Anybody ever asks what it's about, just think of it like the Royal Navy fights pirates, out for revenge because the captain marooned them on a desert island, in space!

Also Scotty tells Kirk that he got like space clap or something while on shore leave, in front over everyone.

Ceti Alpha V was not the same planet that Kirk marooned the crew of the Botany Bay on at the end of TOS:Space Seed, it wasn't a "desert island".

It was inhabitable but 6 months later Ceti Alpha VI exploded and shifted the orbit of Ceti Alpha V and it became a barren wasteland. Khan was pissed that Kirk basically forgot about them and never bothered to check on them all those years.

Well, the Enterprise had 430 crewmembers on board, and they never showed EVERY SINGLE ONE of them every episode. Meaning, Chekov could have been on the ship; just not on the bridge crew that episode.

Walter Koenig (allegedly) used to joke that Chekov was using the bathroom when Khan really needed it. . .

That part isn't important to tell, in fact it's kind of a surprise. Checkov is like, "Bruh, what are you doing on this desert island? We left you on the nice one with the coconuts and the pigs that make perfect bacon!"

And then Khan goes, "Fuck you, borscht boy, this is the tropical paradise! The other island had a volcano and it erupted and fucked our shit! Now there's no coconuts, or pigs with the perfect bacon, just kitty litter monsters that eat your brain and don't taste good at all! Also, my wife is dead, dickhead!"
