Kids are loving the old classic family movies. Help me remember some more.

A gun in the hand is worth more than ten policemen on the phone. The American Revolution was carried out by a group of gun toting religious zealots.

Herbie The Love Bug was always a favorite of mine.
There are a number of Disney films with Don Knotts as I recall.
"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."
Alfred Hornik, Sunday, December 2, 1945 to his family, on his continuing duty to others for surviving WW II.

Maybe - The Man from Snowy River?
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Some warnings: Fantasia has some fairly scary sections (Night on Bare Mountain, e.g.)--you'll want to be there to reassure them.
Old Yeller has a very sad ending (the dog dies). Be aware of that.
I don't think anyone mentioned it, but I would not recommend "A Dog of Flanders"--in the original version both the boy and dog die at the foot of the altar in the cathedral. I think the later version made a happier ending, however.
Just some things to consider.
I could recommend "The Parent Trap" with Hayley Mills playing twins--it is very funny, but maybe better for slightly older kids.
