I agree about Cisco. Not at all how I picture him.

I don’t quite understand what you are asking. Are you referring to Elliot Gould’s character? If so, he’s not Halley’s dad, he’s a retired lawyer who was a friend of Mickey’s dad.
Forgive me if my assumption is incorrect.

Thank you. I was confused and never heard he was a friend of his dad. I got the impression Gould was his imaginary father.

Rey HRHI'm a couple of years late to the party but I'm close to finishing season 2.
It's entertaining enough for me which isn't saying much as I've actually been starting and stopping series because they plain suck.
Their are some parts that stretches the imagination like Cisco being engage to an ex-wife who's running the office and also getting her law degree.
I guess they're being efficient with Cisco being the tough guy AND computer savvy (I forget the name for this character - the one who sits at HQ in front of the computer). But the plots are interesting enough and creatively woven together without coming off as the show writers just making a point of showcasing how "clever" and "deep" they are.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

scot818My wife and I have enjoyed this show since it first started. I haven’t read any of the books so I don’t have anything to compare it to, other than the movie.
But my wife can’t stand it when I tell her Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) was the original Lincoln Lawyer. And I then point out how the rolls of the cast members are the same, just different names. It’s funny to me and drives her crazy because she hates Perry Mason…
Looking forward to the next season.

I think Perry Mason was a bit better though. I don't remember most of the plots but I think I recognize what makes Lincoln Lawyer lose its shine for me - it's the Batman utility belt factor.
Every time, in the Bat man tv show, whenever Batman was in trouble, the solution would be available from his batman utility belt. With Lincoln Lawyer, the solution would somehow present itself out of thin air. What makes it so bad is that it comes out so close to the end of the conclusion. Good TV and Movie shows hints at or shows the solution near the start without any flagging that it's a critical keystone until it resurfaces near the end.
I still remember Ripley in Aliens helping out with the loading near the start using one of the robotics enhanced machinery and that's what she uses to fight the Alien in the end.
Monk and the series with Angela Lansbury shows the solution at the start and the story is how the main character connects the dots to get to the killer.

Just saw this. I get your point about with holding info till the end. The old Perry Mason shows were terrible for this as well. My wife wants to start the new season this Friday. I’ve got to put her off this weekend - the World Series starts Friday.

Batty67My wife and I just finished season 3. Really fine season, and not too long. In fact, I'd say it was just about right. Not amazing but very solid series. Though, I think the season cliffhanger was underwhelming. Have to see how it plays out, but I'll be watching...

Sig MarineMrs. Sig Marine and I just finished season 3 and found it very entertaining. The ending definitely has us thinking about, and looking forward to, next season.
