One of the most beautiful lyrics ever written, IMO. The aphantasics among us won't get it ( ), but I can just picture this in my mind:
She comes out of the sun in a silk dress runnin' like a water-color in the rain...

Hadn't heard this one in years until this morning while listening to the old American Top 40 show broadcast on Sirius' Seventies on 7 channel. A cover of The Platters' hit in '59. This is from late '72.

And this one is cheating a little, recorded in 1969 for his Nashville Skyline album, but I loved the 70s sound of this song during the Rolling Thunder Revue (wish I seen a gig from the tour).
"I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

I don't know why but this song is firmly embedded in my memories as a quintessential 70's song. I was only 5 years old when it came out but still remember hearing it at that age on the radio in the car with my Mom and Dad headed to Kiddie City, a toy store chain in our area:
I still love it.

Wasn't much of a disco fan, but then there was Donna Summer.
