The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad.
If we got each other, and that's all we have.
I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand.
You should know I'll be there for you!

YA CS is still going. A Lot of games are still going, some just have less following than usual. I never did get into CS but enjoyed TFC2 and DoD

RogueJSKThe Counter-Strike they're playing is Counter-Strike: Global Operations. It's a newer version that was released back in 2012.
Despite being 5 years old, CS:GO still has a large following, and is one of the most popular games in competitive video game matches/tournaments, which is what this Swedish team is competing in.
So it's not the original Half-Life mod from 1999. I loved that game as well. I spent countless hours in high school playing the Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat mods.

rusbroCool.
I used to play Guild Wars 2 (World v. World) a ton. The vast majority of the players you could count on to play defense and do the dirty work hour after hour where mostly those of us in the 40-75 year-old demographic. (I'm currently 50). None of us could compete with most of the young crowd in terms of twich reflex, and maybe even mentally processing combat in the moment, but we were generally patient and relentless - upgrading structures, building siege weapons, calling out enemy movements, etc.
The younger players were often impatient and easily frustrated, but much faster and able to use the right skill at the right time.
I'm gotta think the Silver Snipers aren't competitive because of their twitch reflex, but moreso because of patience and cooperation.

SIG4EVAI played CS from 1.4. Competed as well but only through some of college. Life took over after that. I love everything Half-life based.

100% agree. Spent countless hours of my college life (2000-2005) playing that game. Dorm floor had our own server.

Hilarious! We hosted our own server as well. We had access to the campus fiber lines with no restrictions
