Very neat episode. Never would've thought to 3d print solder to make your own PCBs.
The engineering that goes into this thing is as interesting as the total build itself.
Loved the hat tip to the TGUK trio in the 'credits'

The Tuned In podcast episode 114 is a two hour conversation with Richard Brunning. Really good discussion about his racing history and a lot of good info on Project Binky

Queued up to watch tomorrow. I know a lot of people are upset at how long this has taken, but they're being meticulous & doing it in their spare time, as they can. Richard apparently had a baby in the last year, so that takes up some of their available time as well.
Excited to see it still moving forward.

I watched a ton of episodes and thought it was pretty cool what they are doing. But it is taking forever! Way cool though.

The impeding to action advances action.

A bit 'clickbaity' but gives some [unverified] background on some of the project & its delays.

Who knew 40 minutes of building dash gauges could be that entertaining.

The level of detail involved in building your own gauges for your dash, just so they'll be exactly what you want, is amazing. I cannot imagine having that amount of patience.

Those guys are nucking futz! The detail just on the switch panel alone would have me in the looney bin.
Making their own circuit boards, Arduino everywhere, custom switches, 3D printed bracketry and housings...Jeebus.

Looking back on this thread, I started watching in Feb 2021. Watched 25 episodes in 3 days, and was 'caught up' in 5.
It's a treat when the new ones come out, but crazy that 4 years later it's still a long way from complete.
