Give y’er balls a tug. New Shoresy
The new season of Shoresy dropped on Hulu today. Really enjoyed it but disappointed it was only 6 episodes. Hopefully this isn’t the last season.

I loved Letterkenny, but I really think Shoresy is much better.

We dropped Hulu recently, Letterkenny was great & I think I caught the first 2 seasons of Shoresy, the first for sure.

Too early to want to drop any spoilers, but I’m very pleased to see the initial reviews from the members here.

I’ve been following some threads over on Reddit and there were a number of people who said they did not like it as much because there was far less hockey.

The overall perception was they were building up something big for season five. Looking forward to binging it on the airplane coming home from Honduras this weekend.

Being a hockey mom, a hockey sister, a hockey child, finishing out this season just brought me to tears.
So freaking irreverent and crude, and yet so fundamentally sweet - with an amazing soundtrack to back it all up. As a child that was born in the 70’s, this resonated.

One of my very favorites. Best look into the hockey culture on television.

I had heard of Letterkenny and Shoresy, but had never watched either. I finally tried Shoresy at a friend's behest, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I finished all four seasons in about a week. (Which is easy since each episode is only ~30 minutes.)

Yes, it's immature and corny at first blush. But below the surface, it's actually a good show, with several good acting performances throughout. And surprisingly funny.

The scene near the end of Season 3 where Nat benches an injured Shoresy, and he glares at her with tears, heartbreak, and despair in his eyes, saying: "I'm so mad at you right now"... Dang. Keeso's got some range. From precise comedy timing to tearjerkers and back. Really knows how to endear you to the characters and then use that to pull on the heartstrings.

I really wasn't expecting that from a show about one-liners, locker room humor, and hockey.

The newest season does stray from the well-worn "trying to win the hockey game/season/tournament" trope and branches out, which is not a bad thing. But it's much less about hockey than the prior 3.

I'm now giving Letterkenny a shot.

I just want to put in a mention for the music. I find myself trying to track down the tracks to download.

Shoresy is one of the most refreshing shows on tv right now. Reminds me of the first time I watched trailer park boys.

The show uses several tracks from the band Death From Above 1979.

One of my friends gave me a Death from Above 1979 CD back in the early 2000s. They were/are a fairly obscure 2 person rock band out of Canada. I listened to that CD a bunch at the time, but then didn't even think about them for the next 20ish years

Until I heard one of their tracks in Season 1 of Shoresy. Instant throwback. Then I recognized several more of their songs in subsequent episodes. It was a cool blast from the past.
