Yup. Pretty disappointing.
And the fight scenes are just absurd, particularly with these tiny women beating up men one on one. These 115 pound chicks are kicking the shit out of 220 pound bikers for chrissakes.

I told my wife they seemed to write season 2 in response to some idiot focus group comments.
The writers from season one probably scored new gigs based on their work. Season 2's writers are whatever dregs they could find in time.

I'm not sure he's dead. Neagley was gripping his hand and holding his wound (which she would never normally do) and the ambulance was on the way, maybe he'll make it. That'll be a bummer if he's gone and won't be able to kick Reacher's butt . We'll know on Friday.

I saw Patrick Warburton in something last night and went... "That's who he (Ritchson) reminds me of!"

I'm not overly critical of the show, but I was certainly holding out hope that the Cop and Reacher would tussle, or at least hint at it, maybe like the end of Rocky 3.

I'm with you on that, I'm not sure he's dead either.
All the reviewers and critics have him written off as dead and as disappointing as this series has been, that may well be the case. We'll just have to wait and see.

Just pure garbage. I’m a bit of a book “purist” and this is NOTHING like Bad Luck and Trouble should be, which I consider one of the better Reacher reads. I can never understand why someone is handed a great blueprint, then deviates so far afield from it that it’s nothing like what it could’ve been. New York instead of California? In winter? How does anybody find decomposing corpses in the woods in the winter in New York State, when they were using vultures in the California desert to find their dead friends in the book? And straight downhill from there. Most TV writers either have no actual experience in anything, or even bother to research subjects before they start writing their clueless drivel. I just quit on it.

You could see the cop come to grips with what had to happen to save the kid before he even got her out of the car and told her to run. Then he advanced on the opposition in plain view. He knew he had to die if the girl was to live.
I don't think it's the first time Neagley saw someone check out either. And she thinks he's dead.
I think you guys are doing the actor that played Russo a disservice. In my opinion, he did as good or better job of dying than most actors I have ever seen.

I can only hope…that whichever brain-wizards f’d up season 2, fix their shit for season 3 and bring back the ‘fun’ that was season 1.
Very much reminds me of Fargo (the series not the movie). Season 1 with Billy Bob Thornton was some of the greatest television I’ve ever seen. Season 2…not so much.
ETA:
I was typing about Fargo (which I loved), but the show I was actually referencing was True Detective. Season 1 with Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey was absolutely brilliant, season 2 sucked balls. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Ronin1069,

Close-ups of Reachers puffy, tired looking face; ya, he might pass for Warburton's mug shot.

Ok. This is getting pretty lame. I was wanting a good new series, too.
Except for an occasional good one-liner, there isn't much to it.

Not expecting any academy awards for this season and certainly not as good as season I but I still find it entertaining.
My biggest gripe about episode 7 is directed toward the prop master. Out of battery Glock at ~7:05. Kind of defeats the purpose of pointing it at the guy. To quote a repeated line in the series, details matter.

Interesting. I only watched seasons 1 and 2 of Fargo, but I hold season 2 in high regard, feeling the same way about S2 as you do S1.

I was just about to come in and correct this! I was typing about Fargo (which I loved), but the show I was actually referencing was True Detective. Season 1 with Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey was absolutely brilliant, season 2 sucked balls.

So it's a really cheesy, cringy, story about a serial killer who wanders the country?

A disappointing season.
What's hard to believe is Lee Child is involved with this show, he's in various extra videos.

Im late to the party and just watched ep.1
I already have the feeling this is going to be a cheesy season. The part where he buys clothes at the thrift shop then goes back in for a new jacket and grabs the first one of the rack had me shaking my head.
