‘Star Wars’ Boss Kathleen Kennedy Planning to Exit Lucasfilm at the End of 2025

If true, good. But if they just replace her with another of the "The Force is Female" loser, like Filoni or the like, what's really gonna change? Star Wars has to earn its credit back. They are not even starting from ZERO, they have negative credit. Until then, it's still dead.

She can step down. It’s still years too late. They’ve taken the Titanic and rammed it into every fucking iceberg in the Arctic circle at this point. I’m not giving Disney a red cent for many years to come. We don’t owe Disney anything at this point. Not even a single fuck.

There's still a lot of trash at Lucasfilm that needs to be fired before they're trustworthy again.

If I was in charge of Star Wars, I'd do a time jump that's long enough to make the original trilogy a Legend and do something similar to the Yuuzhan Vong style invasion while doing an Andromeda style story to rebuild the Republic. And needless to say, I'd have Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole (the two greatest Star Wars writers of all things including George Lucas) to help come up with a story.

This way, you could do a movie, a couple of Disney+ shows for world building, and a movie to shake everything up while not requiring anyone to watch the TV series.

Well, this news was initially announced several months ago--specifically for Q2 of the year, which unfortunately seems like won't happen. But I've been looking forward to it for a while.

I heard in 2022, that they were giving her a generous severance package to leave. In 2023, it was rumored she was being replaced by Filoni. Later, it was reported she’d be leaving after Indiana Jones 5, which is now true of course. Wonder what next year’s rumor will be.

Old Thread Alert---------------!!!!!!!!

It took a while, but she's no longer head of Lucasfilm.

"Star Wars Shakeup: Dave Filoni & Lynwen Brennan New Lucasfilm Presidents As Kathleen Kennedy Returns To Producing"

In a long expected transition, Kathleen Kennedy is stepping down as president of Lucasfilm this week, after nearly 14 years leading the studio

She will continue as producer of the studio’s next two theatrical films, The Mandalorian and Grogu (release date: May 22, 2026) and Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter (release date: May 28, 2027). She will then pursue other producing projects independently.

Hopefully 'independently' means far, far away. (and NOT the Shrek kingdom of that name!)

It doesn't matter now, and she's not fully gone anyway.

Yeah, they know what sank the Titanic also, but it's a little too late at this point.
