Sad news, I liked TC from the first episode. Had no idea he crossed into the eighties.
R.I.P. TC!

Makes me sad.

Magnum was one of my favorite shows and TC was a great character.

It's interesting that Mr. Mosley was a real-life licensed helicopter pilot, though he was not allowed to do any of the stunt flying you see in the show.

Yes, sad news indeed. The old Magnum P.I. is my favorite TV series. My wife and I watch all the episodes on DVD every few years.

For the last episode of Magnum, I was in Bethesda for some training. I watched it on a big screen TV at the training facility.

Once again, sad news.

It is hard for me to wrap my brain around the idea that TC was in his 80s.

A sad loss indeed. One of my favorite shows from the 80’s. The entire cast had great chemistry.

Oh Nooooo. Really sad news.

I'm another of the millions of fans of the original Magnium P.I. series, thought it was a great cast with good stories, and loved the T.C. character.

A year or two after the original series ended T.C.'s helicopter made an appearance at the State Fair and was selling rides, so of course I convinced my girlfriend to fly in it with me. Short but fun ride, and the only thing that detracted from it was that I'd glance over at the pilot and it wasn't T.C.

I had seen a couple of his guest appearances on various series, but I had no idea that he had made so many guest appearances, let alone that he had done a movie.

I even made an exception and watched the Magnum remake to see his cameo appearance as a barber.

Some people you you can tell by their smiles and how they treat others that they are just really good people with good souls, and that's how I saw Roger Mosely.

Prayers and condolences to his family and friends... and thanks for the memories Roger.

Damn. RIP TC. Liked him a lot in Magnum PI. I recall him in a part in the movie The New Centurions released in 1972.

If wikipedia is correct with regard to his contract negotiations for Magnum, then further kudos to him. He played a relatable character, who truly was a star on a show that was a part of my childhood. Higgy Baby

I want sorry to read this news.

One of the many cool things about the stay my wife and I enjoyed at Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu a few years back (that destination being chosen based on input from several SF members) was that the helicopter-tour company adjoining the resort had a Hughes chopper in their lineup that was painted in the same design as TC’s.

^Interesting infobit: The color scheme for the MD 500 used on Magnum was a factory color offering from McDonnell Douglas, and not a custom paint job just for the series.

Not sure about TC's van.

What I liked about Magnum was they didn't make all VN vets out to be drug crazed. Just ordinary people who did the best they could.

Liked him. Seemed like a real guy on the show, and not an actor. The kind of guy you'd want flying that helicopter coming to save your bacon.

I remember later Selleck was playing the owner of the casino and hotel in the show Vegas and the back story in one episode was some old friends were coming to visit... at the end of the show TC and Rick walked in to meet him.

Yeah, I remember seeing that, too. Believe it was the NBC drama Las Vegas.

Selleck also invited Jonathan Hillerman(Higgins) to be on that show but he declined. I think he was too ill to come. Selleck has a habit of being good to those he works with.
