Probably not, give it a few years.
Its got a fairly complex plot-line, you'll end up explaining a lot of space science, political science and engineering science and then there's the swearing and violence, along with suggested nudity. No doubt there's kids that are able to keep up but, everyone develops differently.

That's because the first few seasons were on SyFy before Amazon got it. Since Amazon isn't being held hostage by Clorox and Mazda, they ramped up the naughty swears and a bit of boobies some. It's not raunchy or explicit really, it all works in the context.

NO! There is Violence, Strong language, Scary images and Nudity. If you are Strict at all this is not what you would want your 13yr old to watch.
It is a superb series that does a good job of following the excellent book series. Best Sci-Fi show out there IMHO.
Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................

LoswsmithThis season, to date up to episode 5 at least, has been the best so far. It's not 100% faithful to the books, but IMO has done a fantastic job keeping to the spirit, especially now that Amazon has taken over.

Yup. And when ASG says "a bit of boobies," it's a very little bit. At least as far as we've gotten, which I think is season 5, episode 3?
If you're very strict, then perhaps the last two seasons would be over the line for you.

goose5I've tried two episodes of this show. Its a bit dark and being on the brink of disaster all the time is not appealing to me at this time.

Nope. Further: The buttcheeks and sideboob I think have all been from a distance and/or in very dark settings, so not really "in your face" kind of a things.

probably stop the folks that sign up for a month, binge watch it, then drop the free trial or cancel after they are done,
