Plenty here don't know what a high hat beat is. A lot of the songs posted didn't start with the high hat.

You mean like the Zeppelin song above you that opens with a ride cymbal?

The OP said only high hat beat, not high hat/snare, high hat/bass guitar, kick followed by high hat, etc. High hat only.

In the Zep video posted above it looks and sounds like he's playing the hi hat with the hi hat open.
My choice would either be Night Flight by Zep or Don't want to live Without It by Pablo Cruise.

I admit that I don't know what a high hat beat is. But I immediately thought of Veruca Salt - Volcano Girls.

Maybe some folks have no idea what a high hat cymbal sounds like. Especially by itself at the start of a song.
Here is a great example.

That could be entirely possible.

Saw the other Fleetwood Mac link and I thought of this song, though, it does start out on snare and high hat (I think) guessing from how it sounds. Could be just a cymbol but lean toward the high hat..

And some don't know what a ride cymbal is. For the intro, he's banging on the high-hat, barely closed, and on the snare, for every hit on the high-hat. Ok, so it's a "prominent," not "only" high-hat.
