A dystopian society - Movies that have predicted the future or in the case of Flock, present
With the Flock thread indicating the start of the US becoming a fully monitored society, along with many other technologies, plenty of movies predicted the change where society accepts this type of life and some people rebel against it...

War Games, Escape from New York, The Running Man, are examples, I have a list in my head but don't want to take the fun away from building a thread with titles and examples of Hollywood presenting us with one option of a future world.

In a sense, yes. In the film(and the book), telescreens are used. They basically used CRTs to act as both displays and cameras. They show propagandas all day and are used for surveillance. You just don't see cameras in the classical sense.

Idiocracy. It might as well been a documentary.

Minority Report doesn't just have blanketed monitoring but predictive crime prosecutions. That's pretty far up the scale....

Lucas's "THX 1138" was pretty bleak, at least what I saw of it.
