Yesterday Amazon announced air date for Reacher Season 3 and released a trailer.
I started reading the Reacher series after being the recipient of an instant karma. I had read every novel from my then current favorite mystery/espionage novelists and asked for a recommendation. Of course, I've now read every Reacher novel.

I have never read a Reacher novel but I am sure I would like them. The series has been good and looking forward to the next season. And I am sure there will be plenty of posters that will complain because it's not like the book.

It’s not just that it’s not like the book, it’s that it is written by dolts who have no idea what would make the series even minutely believable. And why shouldn’t it be similar to the books? The BOOKS are why this crap is being churned out.

We quit watching midway through last season. Maybe this will be better but pretty much lost interest already. Loved the two movies with Tom Cruise though.

Yeah... not unless I'm really really really bored come Fenruary. The writing of the second season was insulting and he pissed me off outside the show.

I thought the first season was pretty good but the second season was a serious letdown. I'm not sure I'm willing to give it more of my time.

My father really likes the series and I have tried twice to watch it.
I read a few of the books off and on over the years but I really did not get into the series until the last year or so.
After reading almost all of the books, it is hard for me to watch the series because I just picture Alan Ritchson as Reaper.
I am debating whether to give it another go or not.

I just came here to post it was back on.
Hope it's at least as good as last year, but a whole lot better.

I watched the first 4 minutes and 23 seconds or so and decided that was enough.

It's not bad. Will continue the series.

The 'star' suffers from typical hollywood fat head syndrome. He's not that good of an actor, his physique got him the lead.
He hates law enforcement and recently said he thinks Matt Gaetz, a fellow FL high school student, is a "motherf**ker".

They went to high school together and Gaetz did say that Ritchson’s mom loved Gaetz.
“Gaetz wrote that “Hollywood apparently changes people” and claimed: “We were not ‘adversaries’ as I won debate championships and Alan did more acting stuff… He was always very nice to me (and everyone) and his mother, the computer lab monitor, loved me.”“ Link

Season 2 wasn't even worth watching IMO. I'll give 3 a whirl, but with my thumb on the remote.

Is this the "season of beefcake?" Reacher's got his shirt off in every episode. It's probably to distract from the poor consistency of the production. ADR error in the first episode (female's voice dubbed over a male's speech), continuity errors (shot out tire of vehicle is repaired), and a couple other issues I've had so far with this season.

I'm not going to bother with season 3. I liked season 1 but couldn't get through the second season.

You didn't like the diversity special ops team?
I absolutely hate lazy unimaginative writing with amazing "just in the nick of time" solutions, and season 2 was loaded with it.

Suspension of disbelief is a must for Reacher. It seems he get hooked up with law enforcement (this season its ATF), proceeds to grease all kinds of folks and the cops are fine with it!
