Rerelease of Avatar in 3D IMAX
I always wanted to see Avatar in 3D IMAX.

Today I did just that. Even though I have seen it many times, I enjoyed the experience.

Saw many little details I had never realized were in the movie. Lots of cool little flying bugs.

The visuals were stunning.

In the new release the end of the the movie is a little different.

When they are being marched out on the tarmac, the corporate manager steps out of line to address Sully.

He says to Sully “this isn’t over” setting up Avatar 2…

"Avatar" makes one reevaluate everything James Cameron has done which is a good thing. He's not great at hiding his sledge hammer.

May have to watch it again before seeing the upcoming movie. I only saw the original when it came out in theaters.

My problem is it’s the first James Cameron screenplay that he phoned in. Up to that point, his writing and structure was bank vault solid in that the characters could only do what was written given the situation they were in while Avatar was non stop sci-fi cliche because James Cameron wanted 3D CGI and didn’t care how he got it.

No interested in seeing Avatar 2.
