Well, he went down to dinner in his Sunday best,
Excitable boy, they all said.

I bought that album when it first came out. I think I have all of his records. I saw him at the Cellar Door in Washington, D.C about 1984 or 85. He was a great performer and song writer. His last appearance on the David Letterman Show is very sad. Thank you for posting this. I will have to get some of his music out. I have not listened to him for a while.

Well, I went home with the waitress
The way I always do
How was I to know
She was with the Russians, too

I was gambling in Havana
I took a little risk
Send lawyers, guns and money
Dad, get me out of this

I'm the innocent bystander
Somehow I got stuck
Between the rock and the hard place
And I'm down on my luck
And I'm down on my luck
And I'm down on my luck

Now I'm hiding in Honduras
I'm a desperate man
Send lawyers, guns and money
The shit has hit the fan
