Linda Ronstadt's Greatest Hits; the edition from 1977-ish time frame. A couple of others like Heart's Dreamboat Annie soon followed.
ETA: I began getting cassette tapes in '80 after a visit to Circuit City for a AM/FM/Cassette radio for my Toyota truck, which didn't come with a radio. I still have a cassette or three from then. As BigSwede, many of them were from Columbia House. ABBA's Super Trouper was one of my first cassettes. This message has been edited. Last edited by: rat2306, April 11, 2025 02:28 PM

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11
...But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by Him shall glory, but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. - Psalm 63:11 [excerpted]

Boston. Wore that 8 track out between my '72 Celica and the 3-in-1 stereo (record player, 8-track, AM/FM radio) in my room.
I always smile when I hear Boston and other "8 track bands" from the 70's still being played on FM radio today. Who was listening to 50 year old music on the radio in the 70's?

Aerosmith Toys in the attic. Close second was the Boston album.
ZZ Top Tres Hombres. I must have went thru at least 3 of those. The 8 track was not the most reliable music system made. I got better over the years splicing broken tapes and getting them running again. This is what was left of my collection after I converted over to cassettes and CDs. This message has been edited.
