PASigAd Astra Movie
Not sure how I missed seeing this one in 2019 but I just found it and watched about 2/3 of it and really like it so far.
For those who have watched it, I have a question: when Brad Pitt’s character does these “psychological evaluations”, is he speaking to an AI? I get that impression.
The SpaceCom uniforms look far better than the actual new Space Force blue chef jacket looking ones and what’s interesting is the astronaut wings portrayed all seem to be based on the Army Astronaut design and not Air Force or Navy.

hberttmankI have never seen this one, but it looks like one I would like.

PASigI found an old thread here from back when the movie came out in 2019 and it sounds like everyone who watched it hated it, but I really liked it actually. I’m not a fan of movies with nonstop action, I’m more of a slow burner/cerebral movie type and this was definitely one of those.

PHPaulRented it this evening.
I struggled quite a lot with technical details that were flat out impossible within the limits of my understanding, but the story line worked well enough to keep my interest.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

AnubismpI find myself interested until he gets to his destination. The journey had me intrigued, but I don't like where they went with it afterwards. I think there was a way to say the same message without making it plodding and depressing. I have, despite several attempts, never quite made it to the end in fairness.

You mean this one with the exact same title that you also started?

Yes, and what’s your point here?
Are we not instructed to refrain from resurrecting and posting in old threads?
Would it have made you happier that I posted in a five-year-old thread?

OrgussYou’re allowed to resurrect old threads as long as you preface the new post stating it’s an old thread.
