We watched Episode one of the new season last night. Nothing to write home about. Hope the next episode is better.

Not sure what the point of this 4th season is, halfway through and there's nothing stand-out.
Ok the girls team has cliques, Ted recognizes this, takes them out to trivia night and a fight with the 'guys table' helps bond the team...that was fast. Now he's got an insensitive assistant coach where he's got to drop the hammer, because she's being a bitch to the players...how did that go from 0-10? Did he forget about his own relationship with his kid and wife in a new country?
The subplots are weak...Tracy Ulman's character is forced, the Keeley/Roy relationship is being dragged-out, Rebecca is nowhere close to being the self-assured owner and independent woman that she was in the past and Beard's off-beat tempestuous relationship with his ex- is ridiculous.

Ugh. I was looking forward to the season. Sounds like the generation to skip and just wait for the next if it survives.

It's hard not to like "Ted Lasso" but lord knows they're trying stink it all up. I've grown tired of Ted, always with his hands in his pockets, non-threatening to a fault. That describes the whole show. Funny but not funny enough to slog through the woke morass they all dwell in.

And yeah, season 4 is spinning its wheels and stinks of burning rubber.

With perhaps one or two exceptions, the acting of those on the team is poor. I mean like, after school special poor acting. This season, so far, is rubbish. Hope they can pull it out, but I don't get the impression that's the goal.

Hollywood tends to do this when they try squeezing that extra season out of a good thing.

They pretty much just take what made the show so entertaining and magnify it… and it tends to push things just across the line enough for people to realize they’ve gone too far.

Sometimes it’s best to just leave things alone and move on… Take your kudos.
