mark123I watched Donnie Darko last week
I heard about it but never got the chance to see it. Pretty good flick. I did enjoy it.
So, was it supposed to be the opposite of "Is a Wonderful Life" where everyone was better off without him?

TommydoggI remember when I saw it the first time, I couldn't stop thinking about it for a while. It's one of those movies that if you like it, you will see it a few times.

Black92LXI think the girlfriend at the time and I watched it 10 times in a week trying to pick out little things and really try figure out what the point of the movie was.
It's like when you put a TOOL album in you just can't stop listening and you can't explain why.

agonyStill one of my most favorite films.
I don't think it's the opposite of "It's a Wonderful Life," but more a messianic tale completely devoid of heroism or remorse.

46and2Oh I love the movie, and that meme is photoshopped anyway, but it's still funny.

Sig209I need to re-watch it.
But I recall liking it. I like 'different' movies though.

RogueJSKIf you haven't already, check out the Director's Cut. It does a little better job explaining what's going on. It not only had extended/deleted scenes included, but in between "acts", it has short voice-overs and diagrams explaining the concepts behind the time travel/alternate universes in the film.

H&K-GuyI've watched it several times, read the reviews and actors explanations, been through the expansive Online Alternate Reality Game, and all I've learned is this:
