Country Music ain't Country No More
TONS of amazing NEW country music out there. You just won't find it on the PopTop 40 "Country" radio stations.

From what I see, most of the recent (last dozen years) mainstream country are the direct result of indoctrination in our schools. The politics of the singers are just the tip. Nashville has been infiltrated by LA culture, and that culture shows in the music.

It is used to be, if you don't like Hank Williams, you can kiss my ass. Now, replace Hank with Bernie Sanders and you'll probably be closer to on.

I don't like inserting politics into everything, but if you dig just a little bit, you see that it is already in there. Look at the number who came out in support of gun control in 2013. Back in the day, they would have gotten their asses stomped outside the Opry.

I've been listening a bunch to this guy here of late. I think 30 years later, it is nail to the head.

If you watch the Ken Burn's documentary on your local PBS station , or live stream it ,https://www.pbs.org/kenburns/country-music/

you will see a half dozen country music
experts ( musicians)
claim that "Country "
has always had something for most everyone.

Perhaps some prefer it with a hillbilly tilt, others prefer the Nashville sound, then some
have to have the Texas twist to it and others like the Northern California ( buck Owens) slant
then you still have the folk music sector of Country and many more.

I understand that your particular pigeon hole of Country might be a little lean at this stage , but it will return , always has , always will.

I love his music.

Saw him once, years ago; he was part of The Outlaws Tour. Red Rocks, Morrison, Colorado. Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter, Billy Joe Shaver...at least one other (Tompall Glaser, I think). Good show

I saw Ryan Bingham in concert a while back, and he was amazing. I highly recommend you see him if you get a chance.

Yes, I'm a huge fan! Wasn't sure if bluegrass would float in this thread, I almost mentioned him. Probably my favorite newer artist. Him and Marcus King. Incredible new music is alive and well!
