Can’t disagree there. But, the point being made is the character isn’t rebooted as Joan Rockford. Or Jose Rockford. At least it has a chance of not being sucked into the woke vacuum.
The Rockford Files will forever be Garner. Like Magnum will forever be Selleck. Or more recently Bosch will be welliver. I don’t want a reboot, but if they are going to do it, try to be faithful?

I cannot imagine who they would choose to fill these reboots.
I know this is thread drift. But one of my favorite episodes and I do not remember seeing it until a few years ago when I was recovering from shoulder surgery was from Season 4, "The House on Willis Ave." Holy cow, it reached into the future and is just as applicable today.
Does anyone think 'TV' that is being written today could be relevant 40 years later?
