I like Sapporo and this video is cool but... tell me you don't hear an Iron Butterfly drum segment beginning about 0:13/2:02

Nope. Sorry, not hearing the similarity from my remembering it from the late 60s.

No. The drum track from Inna Gada Da Vida is about as basic "four on the floor" rock beat as it gets. If you're talking about some licks from the drum solo in the 17 minute version, you're going to have to be more specific.

The three notes from the flute starting at :04 are the same three opening notes from the main riff of Smoke On The Water transposed up a few keys, but... that's hardly an unusual combination of notes.

Echoing the above, not hearing any Iron Butterfly here.

I was never a big fan of this song, too much of a groovy vibe, more than my tastes.

OK, now I hear it. Yeah, similar beat to the Taiko drummers. I had a suspicion it might be the drum solo, but I didn't feel like listening to the whole 17 minute version to find out.

I think it's a stretch.
You hear enough drumming... Taiko, Drum Corps, hippie circle, you'll hear fragments of a beat and attempt to match it with something else.
