I was headed north on Upper Wacker Drive one afternoon with a friend, headed to a hospital to visit another friend. All the exits from Lower Wacker were blocked by ISP Dodges, cops in them, but I couldn't tell what was going on.
As we got a few blocks further north, I happened to turn around and looked out the back window just as an old Black and White came flying out of one exit and back down into the opposite one. Neither of us could believe what had just happened, and there was nothing on the news that night about it.
If you watch carefully, as the camera points north, you can sometimes see a blue Buick with a white convertible top. That's us.
The friend we were visiting didn't make it. He died of cancer a week later.
