NYPD Blue had some wild casting!
I was 10 or so when the series started and was not allowed to watch it.
Just recently Started watching it as one of those shows that I only semi pay attention to. Like doing laundry or the like or just being lazy.
I am into season 4 and it’s pretty wild how many actors are in single episodes that went on to do a bunch more stuff.
Lots of Sopranos folks.

I didn't watch 24 until long after it's initial run and noticed the same thing with that show. Every other episode had someone in it that went on to other shows or movies.

Quite a few actors in both NYPD Blue and Deadwood. Just did a quick search, and this reddit thread listed way more than I realized there were.

Browse reddit at your own risk ... lotta cocksuckas, skells, and hoopleheads in there.

I hate offended people. They come in two flavours - huffy and whiny - and it's hard to know which is worst. The huffy ones are self-important, narcissistic authoritarians in love with the sound of their own booming disapproval, while the whiny, sparrowlike ones are so annoying and sickly and ill-equipped for life on Earth you just want to smack them round the head until they stop crying and grow up.

That made sense, since David Milch was the showrunner for both NYPD Blue and Deadwood.

Fun trivia: My wife is in the opening credits of later seasons. She was filmed on the streets with an I❤️NY tee-shirt while walking her dog and it was just one of the street scenes shown, interspersed with the cast members.

I remember seeing her! Was she aware that she was filmed, and it will be used in that montage?

Edited: Turns out she was totally unaware and only learned later when a friend pointed it out to her.

Vice had an amazing number plus musician guests in dramatic roles - Glenn Frey and Phil Collins to mention a couple.

A bit of a thread drift but happened to catch a piece of a Gunsmoke episode today over lunch and spotted Daniel J Travanti (Furillo) and Charlie Haid (Renko) from Hill Street Blues in the same scene being bad guys!

I never watched it extensively, but I do remember Ricky Rick Schroder in it.
