nhtagmemberSo I finally got my HAM license
I have most of Jim Allens radio gear including his keys. He was into low power code. One of these days I will be good enough to put them to good use.

You can buy a radio so cheap now that if nothing else the bar is low to come play
Friend showed me how to use Chirp and programming is easy peasy
It’s not for lack of radios. I have four 10-watt radios new in box I bought July 2024 and 1 used radio someone gave me.
But, at least, your post is a tickler to remind me.

Chirp makes programming pretty easy. There are other options but it's pretty easy and widely used. If you don't have a programing cable, they are cheap on Fleabay.

That makes me happy. I forgot that he was a real old time devotee.

shovelheadI wasn’t aware of these classes. Just signed up for a notification of the next one in Ann Arbor.
Thank you Brad.
