I wished they could have gotten Rick Moranis involved somehow. The very last scene when Winston was talking about starting his company with only one employee I was really hoping that employee was going to be Tully and he would have stepped out of the Ecto1 that was being driven into the firehouse.

They referenced him with the strainer hat in the cellar.
Unfortunately Rick Moranis left movies a long time ago and has vowed never to return

Professor Venkman? New “Ghostbusters” mentions SUNY Cortland

Did you ever wonder what happened to Peter Venkman, Bill Murray’s character from the original “Ghostbusters” movies?

The newest film in the franchise, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” answers that question in a way that may be of interest to Red Dragons.

After catching ghosts with characters Ray Stantz and Egon Spengler in New York City in the 1980s, Venkman went on to become a professor of advertising and promotion at SUNY Cortland, or so said Stantz, who is played by Dan Aykroyd, in the new film.

The inspiration for Venkman’s post-Ghostbusters career choice is unclear. Both Aykroyd and Murray have visited the area in the past. Aykroyd has twice been spotted at BRIX Pubaria on Main Street in Cortland. The restaurant sells his Crystal Head vodka.

Murray, who has a son named Homer, has visited the nearby Village of Homer to buy souvenirs bearing his son’s name.

It was good. It suffers from the same issues a lot movies have, the first 40 minutes or so its setting up what we all know already, she is Egans daughter and there is trouble a brewin'

They are all somewhat nonchalant about having unleashed a giant ghost demon thing, etc.

But the family enjoyed it, a worthy sequel.
