Tom MacDonald drops absolute fire twice in two weeks!!!
I know his look, style, and delivery are not very popular here but he is spot on and not worried about what people say or think. Plus, it is the style of the kids these days and they really need to hear it! It’s my understanding he has no label or outside funding that will cancel him. Him and his girlfriend Nova Rockafeller seem to produce and distribute everything mainly on YouTube.
Take the 6 minutes or so to actually listen to both songs. You may not enjoy the style but I am guessing there may be some folks you know that might and need to hear what he is saying.

I ran across his channel a while back. I was astonished and a bit confused by the absolute fawning adulation his fans have for him. Clearly, there is something going on here that I do not understand.

Oh yeah, the Canadian honkey wrestler-rapper. I forgot about that dude. Bit of a sideshow oddball to me, but his lyrics are at least right leaning, rare in HipHop to be sure, and that's his whole shtick really.
I'm not into it musically, but it's okay enough to get that message across, and it definitely serves a purpose, and probably does help spread these ideas to at least a few younger and impressionable kids.
I don't think he's really attracting any left leaning fans or anything, much less most HipHop fans, he's largely "preaching to the choir" in the sense that almost no one who isn't right leaning already listens to him.
But whatever. Good luck to him. The dude is fighting an uphill battle in about a dozen ways (Canadian rapper, white rapper, wrestler rapper, right leaning rapper, and so on). It's a tough row to hoe, yo.

Dummies has 1.3 million views in 20 hours and Brainwashed has 5.6 million views in 2 weeks. Those are some wild numbers. I just checked he is on Amazon music not sure about any other platform. I wish Amazon showed how many streams a song has had like YouTube does.
His new songs usually pop up on My home Youtube page. I tend to listen to it a time or two and move along.

Sideshow is an under statement. As for uphill battle I think He has done just fine. I am sure he has made millions and has millions more to make.

Gotta pay for those face tattoos somehow...
Also, on average you get maybe $1 for every 1000 views of your video so 5.6 million views is $56,000.
I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

Brainwashed has probably THE best lyrics of any song I’ve heard in at least the last decade. The part about Biden and Xanax and censoring a president of the USA was perfect!
Outstanding!

Cool. So he's made as much off one video in just 2 weeks than I make in about a year.
Multiply that by his 90+ videos, some of which have as many as 25 million views, and while it's not quite Bezos/Musk/Gates money, he's doing alright...

I wouldn't call it adulation. More like rubber-necking at an accident when you go by. I hate this type of "sound" (I refuse to call it music) but it is hard to turn away when this freak is spouting his message. Something about it is embarrassingly entertaining.

Not sure it can be summed up any better than that.

Dude's making money, with an estimated net worth of several million. A quick glance indicates it's a mix from wrestling, writing credits for a few Canadian rappers, plus his merch sales, touring, and the music.
He's found a niche and is working it, and his timing was good with respect to the political climate and how that relates to his music, whether coincidental or not. I'd wager his fan base is mostly Trump voters.
I don't mean that pejoratively, btw, as Trump voter myself, but he's a sideshow in the sense that no one cares about him in a broad music sense, much less in a broad HipHop sense, it's niche music for niche fans.
He's painted himself into many corners. I think of him more like the Black Rifle Coffee of HipHop, selling a targeted product to a specific market, and being paid well to tell some people what they want to hear.
He's more like a tattooed Joel Osteen or Creflo A Dollar, a bousterous entertainer with an angle, and a clever angle at that. Such folks make me highly suspicious, especially wrestler rappers with a supposed message.
I tend to think he's basically just cashing in on our outrage as opposed to being one of us in any meaningful way. We'll see, I suppose. And good luck to him. I'm sure he's living pretty well in LA now.

What does it take for one to say yeah he probably does believe what he says? Does one need to become a Milo Yannapoulous type and completely get ones self shit canned from every platform? Whether 100% genuine or not his lyrics are worlds better the vast majority of what I’ve heard lately and certainly superior to the absolute garbage on the radio right now.

Having listened to the genre since it was invented, this is just bad art to me. I hear you on his lyrics and agree with a lot of it but I’m not hearing the delivery method. There is damn good hip hop and it’s always been found in the Burroughs, and in California and little of that is new, it’s late 80’s through early 2000’s, then most of it went tits up.
