Angel and the Badman
For those of you seeking a clean, retro-type return to film making and westerns, I would suggest seeing Zachary Levi's new film: Angel and the Badman.

It's a remake of the John Wayne classic. Well done and also has Neal McDonough and Tommy Lee Jones in it. No language, the violence generally happens off-screen and the story has a light, not heavy-handed, Christian backdrop.

If you don't know, Zachary Levi is the guy that starred in Chuck (one of the greatest TV series of all time IMHO) and he's in the middle of building Wyldwood Studios (a conservative, entertainment-based non-political entity) outside of Austin, TX. I'd like to support that effort any way I can so that there'll be at least a few watchable movies coming out nowadays.

Heartily recommend this one - it just opened in theaters yesterday.

I was really looking forward to this but I think it was only in my local theater for 1 day with a single Thursday 3:00 showing. It was already gone before what should have been opening weekend.

Didnt they do a remake with Lou Diamond Phillips too? At least similar premise...

Anyway, saw this advertised and looked ok. Will wait for streaming.

I enjoyed it, saw it in the theater. My wife has the Angel subscription and she gets two theater tickets a month. The ending was too abrupt though.

Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.
