I don’t know what that guy was complaining about. All those pipes were the same diameter. I guess the pipes sorted themselves out.

This is what I will be mumbling when the white coats come to take me away.
I love this show only because of Ali Larter.

BMR^^^^Agreed. She is gorgeous. Haven't seen her in years and she hasn't lost a step.

vinnybassI can't even believe I'm about to say this here:
That scene with Jerry Jones was one of the best in the series so far. It's not the typically coarse stuff the show is about, but poignant. Add to that, it was Jerry Jones (not an actor, and seemingly not acting) who otherwise irks me incessantly, playing himself. It seemed he really connected with it, and was genuinely in the moment.
Bash away if all y'all want, but that's my opinion.

It was fantastic. He did a great job.

DoctorSoloWife and I are glued to this show right now.
I was SHOCKED at how well Jerry Jones did. I do dislike him less now. Not a bad message.
You can be all high and mighty and judge the characters, and thats why we also have the antique road show.
Something for everyone in this world.

I was too. That was some better acting than actual legitimate everyday actors who do it for a living. And no one carried him. Jon Hamm and Billy Bob just listened.

trapper189Jones nailed it. I swear Billy Bob broke character with his facial expression. I watched it a few times and Billy Bob looks like he's a bit star struck and in geniune awe of what he just witnessed. The writers didn't do him or Hamm any favors with their lines after Jones' monologue.

SIG228Jones was good, but the best line of the whole series was Billy Bob's response when the jock was saying grace, "For fucksakes, dude".....
Cracked me up!

You’ll get no bashing from me. My wife and I both were struck by what an amazing moment that was. He wasn’t acting, as much as he was being genuine about his life and his love of family. While I certainly do not know the man, I have met him and Charlotte on several occasions and seen his largess firsthand. This further cemented my opinion that underneath it all, he does have some redeeming qualities.

JohnCourageThe stuff with his wife and the slutty daughter that is supposed to be in High School is ridiculous. Billy Bob delivers some good lines and monologues on occasion and there are a few good supporting cast members like the two fellas that live with him. Essentially it's another Taylor Sheridan late night soap opera.

He just needs to hire a GM and back away. 29 years at the end of the month.

BMRThat speech, for lack of a better word, by Jerry Jones was one of the best I recall ever seeing in a television series. My wife and I didn't think he was acting there, and instead the emotion was real.
There's no subplot I dislike more, though, than that between Cooper and the widow.

Sig2340This show is as unapologetic as President Trump.
The windmills dialogue.
The Chevron investment.
The fact our grandparents built a world based on petroleum, and until we find a replacement we either drill, pump, refine, transport, and consume petroleum or this technological marvel of a world we have, ends.

I told my wife that I had guessed the director told him to “tell us your story in relationship to your family” and he just riffed. Would not be surprised if he’s told that story many times at different events.

wingfootI have Paramount+ with Showtime (a single streaming app)and it doesn’t show Landman. I do not understand how the hell Paramount works and why I would have to purchase another Paramount app to watch this show. The first two episodes were on the regular Paramount station so I got to see those.

This makes no sense, Paramount Plus is exactly where it’s televised. We got it largely to watch that show, then upgraded to Plus and Showtime because the commercials were too frequent and annoying.

Well, when I googled it this is the AI answer.
"Landman" is exclusively available on the Paramount+ app, and "Paramount+ with Showtime" is essentially just a rebranding of Showtime, meaning it does not grant access to Paramount+ exclusive content like "Landman"; to watch "Landman", you need a separate Paramount+ subscription beyond the Showtime add-on.
This is still bullshit, I don’t understand why it has to be this confusing.
