Ive long been a detractor of Remington firearms and their subsidiaries. It seems everything they touch turns to shit. Needed some cheap ammo for a 30-06 I have laying around, Corelokts were 12.00 a box, never had an issue with Corelokts or Remington ammo in general in the past. Guess name rubbbed off on the ammo too. In the end I ended up with enought to hopefulyy get the scop esighted in and a price per round that rivals 375HH Premium. 6 rounds with noticeably dented cases, several I wont even shoot, discolored primers, inconsistent seating depths......and brass that looks worse that range pickup. Woah! That doesn’t look good. Write them a letter and include pictures. Chances are that they’ll do the right thing and send you a couple of boxes to make up for it. *** "Aut viam inveniam aut faciam (I will either find a way or make one)." -- Hannibal Barca

When one of the oldest and most popular ammunition companies in America manages to screw up one of the oldest and most popular cartridges in America...sheeesh.

Those look really bad. The dented tips and improperly seated bullets are horrible. Remingtons .22 LR ammo has been horrible for well over a decade. You could spin the bullets in the cases on 2 out of 3 rounds because their crimping is so bad on them.

To all of you who are serving or have served our country, Thank You |
Remingtons 22 RF ammo has been horrible since the early 1980s! Looks like their centerfire ammo finally caught up!

Why didn't you just take the stuff back? "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system,,,, but too early to shoot the bastards." -- Claire Wolfe "If we let things terrify us, life will not be worth living." -- Seneca the Younger, Roman Stoic philosopher

Same reason most stores don’t take a lot of things that can be tampered with back. I had a coworker take a return on six quarts of oil that were “the wrong type” and put them back on the shelf. Another customer bought some of them and found them to have been refilled with used oil. Same thing with pouring half a container of window washer fluid in your reserve and topping it back up with water and maybe a few drops of food coloring. If shitty people are willing to do that, some asshole with a handful of reloading equipment could get someone killed if a store took back a box of tampered ammo if your average counter jockey just put it back on the shelf. “Sorry, I bought the wrong caliber” would be all it would take. ______________________________________________ Carthago delenda est
