My local shop has a used one, 18” matte stainless barrel. Looks to be in excellent condition, and all stock. The only negative I can see is it has a keymod rail instead of mlok, so I guess it’s an older one. Does it shoot that much better than any other quality 16” AR?
I’m trying to justify another AR by saying I don’t have a Noveske, or an 18” AR….. It would definitely get an optic, probably a 2-10 or 3x9 at least.
Thoughts and opinions?

Sex offenders can not be rehabilitated. It's in their wiring. They should not be released back into the general public. On the other hand they should not be warehoused either. I think they should be executed.....Spectre

When someone tries to kill you, it doesn't matter how they are doing it. You're in mortal danger, and it's time to try to kill them back.

If you could get for a really good price I would say absolutely. Having said that I would not pay a premium for it.

What are they asking for it?

And of course condition is a factor. As would be original box

Noveske makes fine rifles. If you want a Noveske, this may be a good option for you.

A keymod rail is a definite negative for me, as all my rails are mlok. It all depends upon what you currently have on other ARs.

For the average shooter, there will be no discernible accuracy differences between comparable 16" and 18" barrels out to maybe 200 yards. For the average shooter, the Noveske will show no discernible accuracy differences than other quality ARs.

But...for a shooter with solid fundamentals of marksmanship:
- The additional 40-60 fps muzzle velocity of the 18" barrel will allow slightly better accuracy at 300+ yards, mainly due to lower wind drift.
- There are stock ARs which can allow for better accuracy than the Noveske. For example -- KAC, Wilson Combat, JP.

IMO the main reason for an 18" barrel is the additional MV, which makes shooter at longer distances easier. At longer distances, a scope with magnification greater than 10x will help with accuracy potential.

Thanks for your knowledge and input Fritz….
The keymod would only annoy me because I’d rather have mlok…. But other than that it’s not a huge deal. It has nice rail covers and a hand stop already. I would an option for a bipod, and that’s probably it. I wouldn’t need a light for this rifle. It is priced attractively, at a little less than 1/2 of retail, and that was another draw for me.

I first read the title and thought "SBR" and was like sure, I have some experience with a Noveske SBR. Then realized it was SPR so not as much of a help, though sure do like my Noveske Chainsaw in .300 Blackout. Very quality product.

Have a Noveske 6.8 original spec barrel and action. Cases would stick and I called them ref their chamber ream. Ended going to a gunner in West Virginia who had a spec II reamer who cleaned it up for me. Solid rifle, just a tight chamber. Still working on getting it dialed in.
