I have been wanting an AK of some sort and awhile back I saw kimberkid (thanks for all the help by the way) post about his 5.56 AK and that got my head really spinning.

At first I was interested in the version that used AR mags but the aesthetics of the polymer insert where the mags went turned me off. Little did I know they had stopped making/importing them so I had slim pickings. I ended up getting one for $650 on gunbroker, added a brace and now have been looking for magazines, I have 6 metal 30 rounders so far, 1 Tapco Galil mag on the way and no idea if it will work or not.

Plan to replace rear sight with v-notch/peep from Khyber Customs, I have emailed Ultimak about a front rail and they are in the process of making one now and will be available this summer, grinding off thread protector and adding 4 piece Bulgarian flash hider or maybe trying to suppress it, Magpul K2 grip and more than likely replace trigger group.

I didn't know AKs could be as much fun as ARs!

One thing I have learned about handling AKs, wear gloves!

I just happened to see this recently: PAP M82 magazines

I'd say if you need more mags, this is a deal and a half! Hope it helps!

Inter-googling seems to indicate that the PAP M82 mags will not fit in the Arsenal Frown

That's a great price!

If you really want something you'll find a way ...
... if you don't you'll find an excuse.

I'm really not a "kid" anymore ... but I haven't grown up yet either Wink
