One of my favorite Gun Stores here in GA just got in a bunch of goodies. And I know we have a lot of older AR fans here.

Those SP1s are pretty roached out. Dorked up screws, and the round hand guards are not correct. Should be the triangle shape like the one in the middle. At least one of them has an aftermarket charging handle. There are certainly nicer ones out there at that price point. I picked up another one about six months ago in excellent condition for $1500. Not to be too negative on AmChar. They usually have some interesting stuff. I got a smoking deal on .45 and 147 gr. 9mm ammo there last fall.

Colt started using the round guards just before the ban. I have a late pre-ban carbine with an A2 upper and slickside lower. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

Copy on the round hand guards. Did not know that. Was probably being too picky. The 2 SP-1s that I have are late 70s, both with the triangle shaped ones. Still think $2k is pricey for that condition, but it’s not like you see SP-1s a lot these days. Thanks for the info.
