Does anyone have any experience with Rizzini over/under shotguns? I handled the Rizzini BR 110 sporter at the SHOT show and it fit me very well. I thought I'd check here before taking the plunge. Thanks!

I have a Rizzini Omnium 20 ga, a Sigarms branded Aurora by Rizzini in 12, and an LL Bean branded Rizzini in 28 ga. They are very nice guns. I had to get a new barrel for the 12 due to a choke tube issue, but that wasn’t really caused by anything other than a lot of shooting. Their U.S. presence is not huge, so customer service takes some patience, but they took care of me.

I hunt with one Rizzini or another 2-3 times per month during the upland season. Nice guns comparable to Beretta in many ways.

How many rounds did you shoot? What was the mode of failure?

I bought it used. Not sure how much it was shot before I got it, but I used it to shoot regular trap and hunt over 3 years or so.

The choke tube had a bur and was not tight. Over time lead shaved between the tube and barrel, accumulated and caused a bulge. I never changed tubes and cleaned it with them in so I didn’t notice the problem until the bulge appeared.

Sig Sauer sent me to Rizzini, who said the gun was well beyond warranty at almost 20 years old. They gave me a decent price on a new barrel which my gunsmith fitted.

I can’t fault the gun on what was really a maintenance issue. In the end, I got new 28” bbls to replace the original 26.
