Does anyone have any experience with the Chiappa m1-9? It is a nice looking carbine, and seems more solid than the Ruger. I would be interested in any one with experience with it commenting.

I ran in to someone trying to shoot one in PCC division at a USPSA match. He was NOT having a good day keeping it working.

I wonder if they will ever iron out the failure to feed problems. It has been out for a while, I would think they might have improved it.

reminds me a little of the camp9 jam-O-matic. Big Grin
It does not inspire confidence in seeing one, for me anyways. So, no.

It is a neat looking rifle though.

I have a Marlin Camp 9. I put a Delron buffer in it and out of thousands of rounds, I have never once had a failure with that carbine. My friend had a camp .45 that also was solid and never missed a beat.

I personally wouldn't buy a Chiappa. As for the Ruger, I've haven't come across a Ruger that wasn't rugged. I do think they're ugly though. Personally, I'd be looking at the ruger or the Colt AR 9mm. What's not to like about 32 round magazines and any accessory in the world available at your fingertips for them.
