ragmanM1a adjustable stock
I AM thinking of getting a precision adjustable type stock for my M1a. What's good?

CPD SIGSage or JAE would be my first two choices.
Archangel is just "Meh" from people I've talked to. I'm sure Benny6 will be by soon, he will give you some solid recommendations.

arcwelderI have a Mcmillan. It's nice, but..
I'll say this.. you'll precision adjust it once.
You can simply do this to _any_ stock.
Aside from the cheek weld and pull length, the only other thing is how the grip feels, and that's not at all important.
Loads of ways to get to where you are comfortable without buying a special stock. Go for it if you want, but do you "need" to? No.
They look great..

benny6McMillans have adjustable LOP and an adjustable cheek riser.
The SAGE can be adjusted for LOP and cheek height as well.
The JAE is no longer made, but was the best.
You can buy a wood version with an adjustable cheek riser that was for the old Springfield M21's which is now discontinued.
