FRTs look like a lot of fun and seem to be quite the rage. Do you think any big name manufacturers will put FRT models out. Or is it not worth their time? With all the stuff PSA is pumping out I could see us possibly getting an FRT model of something from them. Not really sure Insee anyone else doing it. If I buy another AR it will probably be an FN but I doubt we’ll ever seen an off the shelf FN FRT AR. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. I don't believe we'll actually see a factory FRT firearm either. That said, I do believe what we'll likely see is 'FRT Ready' Receivers become available (standard?) in the market, hopefully from multiple manufacturers. In the video re: FRT equipped B&T Firearms, which were modified by East Valley Tactical, they mentioned they were working with closely B&T to sanction/support their work and ensure the factory warranty remained unaffected. They also indicated that the 2026 models from B&T would come with the necessary modifications for the FRT right from the factory. Also of note is that the multiple videos posted by 'Mars_Attacks' detailing the installs of 'the Thang' in a few of his firearms, mentioned some minor mods/massaging of the receiver to allow the firearm to run/perform reliably in the 'Super Safe' mode, thus generating that classic 'Head Turn' & Grin! I could see manufacturers getting on board the FRT train (especially a PSA, hopefully numerous others) and offering modified receivers that will allow the FRT to simply drop-in and run right out of the box. ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! No manufacturer wants the liability or legal vagueness of a factory FRT trigger. I fully expect Congress to pass a law buried in some large omnibus bill to ban FRT triggers by reclassifying them as machine guns under NFA. ATF can't do it on their own, but Congress can. I don't think enough Republicans will stand up against Democrats who insist on it as part of "common sense gun safety" legislation. Defending the right to have a quasi-machine gun is not something they will stand up for. And it's partially our fault for always defending against "assault weapon" bans by pointing out that AR's and other semi-autos are not machine guns, they are semi-auto, an AR is no different functionally than a Mini-14, and machine guns are heavily regulated and no legal machine gun has ever been used in a crime, Hopefully SAF and other groups will get NFA set aside as an infringement on the 2nd.

Not any “big name”, but this VKTR AR-15 piston pistol comes from factory with the FRT installed. Here’s the YT video of it in action: https://youtu.be/ImTgSLS9XWs?si=VgaXHgfwZW-wvUVv
They’re coming out with the drop-in PARTISAN DISRUPTOR FRT. Q

There are already a couple of buisnesses that are selling a couple of rifles with the FRT installed. "FRT ready" at this juncture doesn't mean much since all of the FRTs on the market are supposed to be more or less drop-in (they try to be drop in, but some fitting is inevitably required). This makes sense in more than one way, in that if FRTs do run into legislative trouble then, theoretically, so will any receivers built specifically to accomodate them.
