I have lived the greatest adventure ![]() |
Listening to the Gun Talk radio show, Tom or a caller mentioned Henry makes a lever gun in .300BO, relating that it would be really quiet suppressed. But I suspect cycling a bolt action would be quieter than cycling a lever action, right? Phone's ringing, Dude.

Henry makes the Lever Action Supreme in 300 BLK. Some people don't seem to understand that the muzzle velocity of 300 BLK ammo varies substantially. It would be fairly quiet when suppressed with subsonic ammo. It would not be quiet suppressed with supersonic ammo -- pretty similar in noise levels to suppressed 223 Remington. Cycling a bolt action might be slightly less noisy than cycling a lever action. It would depend on the individual gun, but it may be splitting hairs on the noise factor.
