Fighting the good fight

| For your stated criteria of 3x with horseshoe etched reticle, a Trijicon TA33 ACOG, if it's in your budget. (~$1200)
Otherwise a Primary Arms SLx 3x. (~$300)
Hoewever, consider whether you actually need a magnified optic for "CQB". That kind of short range home defense/room clearing/etc. is nearly always done with unmagnified 1x optics, like an Aimpoint red dot or Eotech holographic, due to their faster acquisition, wider field of view, and unlimited eye relief.
You could add a 3x flip-to-side magnifier if you want the versatility of having 3x magnification on hand for times when you're not using it for CQB.
But then also consider whether you need 3x magnification for a 9mm at all. You generally aren't shooting 9mm at distances where magnification is necessary. (100+ yards)
So, in conclusion, the best option for a 9mm PCC for CQB is not a 3x prismatic. It's a 1x red dot/holographic.
Save the 3x prismatics for actual rifle calibers, at rifle range. |

| Sounds like a lot of magnification for CQB and it also being a 9mm. What platform is it?

| I have an Aimpoint Acro P2 on my SP5K. I don't think the magnification would be very useful on such a platform. I have a T-2 on my 12.5" AR that would also work well.

You likely won't be shooting the PCC at long-ish distances all that often. I've shot mine out to 200 yards, but most is in the 5-75 yard ballpark. Sometimes a little magnification is nice. Consider a 1-4x LPVO. Some good options may not have a horseshoe reticle, however. Whatever direction you go, just don't buy Chinese products. Just don't. | I’m not so sure you know this but “CQB” stands for Close Quarters Battle. And is often associated with urban warfare or fighting in someone else’s house. A 3x optic is virtually unusable at those distances. |

I did the same with mine, the 3x magnification version. Bought it on sale for $200 from MidwayUSA IIRC. Really like it as the image is very sharp as I have a bit of astigmatism. |

| I have a Vortex Spitfire 1x prism on a Sub 2000 and it works great for house distances and out to 100yrds.
